What makes a Provenance Kitten so special?
Countless hours of love, playtime and loads of snuggles!
-Provenance Kittens~
Since our inception in year 2012, purebred, healthy, and beautiful blood lines have been my beacon. Replicating the distinctive personality and health of a true Siamese or Balinese has always been my top priority and one I refuse to waver from. Having printable pedigrees that trace back to the first Siamese that came to America has always been a little bragging point of mine and is truly a rare and unique exception to many catteries today. We have been blessed with Queens who are healthy, exquisite examples of the breed with dark blue eyes, nice round heads, and great boning. Our Balinese Stud cats also display dark blue eyes, nice coats and great boning. All the cats in our home are very affectionate with fun and loving personalities which carries over to their kittens. In our cattery we have chosen to work with the long haired gene. Our litters are either all long haired Balinese or Siamese Variants which are Siamese carrying the long haired gene. As the Siamese and Balinese are the same breed, we are not "mixing" breeds as some myths state. It is only permissible in the cat fancy to breed Siamese to Balinese and vice versa.
~We strive for diversity in our lines always choosing parents from healthy proven lines. We also work with other registered breeders who have been breeding for 20 years or more. Our drive is to better the breed, better health, eye color, coat quality, temperament and boning so that each kitten is an exquisite example of the Old Style Siamese breed. This can only be accomplished by using the best blood lines available. And by making our breeding program a committed part of our life.
~Our Kittens are registered with TICA, CFA, and CFF and come from a long line of healthy, exquisite Registered Old Style Seal point, Chocolate, Lilac and Blue points with Lynx points. And the rare Tortie and Red points. These babies are hand raised in a loving home. From birth to the day they come to you, they are loved and cared for and played with not only by my husband and I but also by our children. Many of our lines are combinations only found here in our home.
~We do not cage our kittens nor are they raised in a separate building or cat house as we want them to always be right near us, in our beds, on our laps, on our couch and running up and down our steps, this is "raising under foot". The kittens will be available to you between 13 and 14 weeks. They will have been dewormed as well as treated for potential protozoans, have had their first two sets of shots, spayed or neutered and will be flea free. No need to worry about fleas or the nasty tapeworms that are only associated with fleas. Our adult cats are kept up to date with their own vaccinations and yearly or twice yearly vet checks. Litter boxes are cleaned multiple times daily and Ammonia, hydrogen peroxide based cleaner is used routinely.
~Unfortunately due to Covid we have stopped in home visits with the exception of children who have allergies and are under 12. However, we provide many videos and pictures while they are growing, and are available at any time for any questions you might have while trying to choose a kitten. Pick of the litter is by the order of deposits received. This visit combined with the weeks spent raising them, gives us very good insight about the kittens attitude towards children and strangers. Sometimes the kitten you have chosen is not a good fit for your active or laid back family and we will recommend a different kitten. We ask that you be open to our suggestions for a perfect match.
~As the breeders, we have the right to withhold any kitten we think would be a good asset to our breeding program. This will be done around 10 weeks of age and all prospective kittens will not be available unless other wise stated.
~Due to the popularity of our family of cats, our kittens are reserved before they are born. If you are ready to commit to this fantastic breed and would like a kitten from our home, we recommend getting on the waiting list by placing a deposit. If you would like advice on the Balinese or Siamese breed or have general questions about kittens, we would love to offer our time answering those for you.
~If you are interested in a kitten, please leave your name and phone number on the contact form provided or email me your contact information so I can call you. After our initial conversation we will ask you to answer a few questions so we can get an idea of who you are and the home the kittens will be joining. We will discuss our contracts, and the various prices of our kittens. Once you are approved a nonrefundable reservation fee of $350.00 paid by PayPal or by check, will be collected which goes towards the total cost of the kitten which varies based only on hair length. The remaining balance is due at the time of pickup and only cash is accepted at that point. This includes DNA testing of one of the parents for PRA, stool cultures and first two sets of vaccinations, deworming, spaying or neutering, registration papers, grain free Super Premium diet and the assurance that the kittens are healthy and well socialized.
~At any point after the $350.00 reservation fee is received, and before the total is collected, if we the breeders feel that the kitten may not be going to an appropriate home, we will have the right to make the decision to return the fee to the potential owner and no longer continue with the sale and homing of the kitten.
~Kittens are reserved based on the order the reservation fees are received. If you were not able to get the color kitten you wanted, we will hold your fee towards the next litter for up to a year at which point we will reimburse you. Reservation fees are otherwise nonrefundable and the waiting list is only for those leaving a fee. This payment is a commitment not just to getting a kitten but also to our cattery.
~A contract will be signed by both of us at the time your fee is left. This first contract will serve as a receipt stating your place on the waiting list as well as a clarification of our policy's and prices based on color and hair length. Our second contract defines what is expected over the life of your kitten. It is a health guarantee and a guarantee that we will be available to you when you need us for any reason related to the care of your kitten.
~Our cats and kittens are fed a variety of wet food and Super Premium grain free, gluten free, preservative free all natural Super Premium kibble called "Petcurean Go!" this is by far one the highest quality cat foods I have found. The second kibble we use is Taste of The Wild Lowland Creek. During Covid we started mixing two kibbles as there were many food shortages. Now we maintain this practice just in case one is not available. Our wet food choice is Merrick kitten formula. The Queens are given a blend of goats milk and eggs, fresh yogurt along with other nutritionally rich ingredients while raising their kittens. Mothers are given vitamins to support the hardship of pregnancy and weaning kittens. We use an all natural corn based litter. Our Cattery is green for the family and for the Earth!!
~Spaying and Neutering can safely be performed on the pediatric feline population as early as 6 weeks. My kittens are altered at 12-13 weeks. They are given up to 5 days to rest with mom before going to their new homes. Females can sometimes have their first heat cycle by 4 months and have had kittens this early as well. If females aren't spayed they also run a risk of a deadly uterine infection called Pyometra. To save the life of your cat you would have to do an emergency spay which would cost triple the amount of a healthy spay. An unspayed female cat also can develop cysts and uterine cancer. An unaltered male will adopt territorial behaviors such as spraying and aggression.
~ Please try not to leave a voice mail- I am slower to respond to voice mails.
~My email address is: kittens@provenancecats.com, I will do my best to get back to you within 24 hours. This is the best way to get ahold of me.
~My phone number is 443-603-5660, I accept text messages and this is another good way to get a reply.
~Please do not pay a reservation fee without receiving an email or phone conversation from me stating that you have been approved to adopt one of my cats. Just because you have contacted us and have had an initial conversation does not mean you have been approved. This is a serious decision that my husband and I will make together as each kitten needs to be placed in the best homes possible.
My husband and I greatly appreciate those who have committed to our Siamese and Balinese family. You inspire us to do our very best for you!
